Pain with Herpes

Dear Dr. Rob:

I am a concerned female. I was just recently diagnosed with Herpes. I have not been able to go to the bathroom at all. It hurts way to bad. I don’t know what to do. Can you help me. I am just trying to figure out how to alleviate the pain. My doctor prescribed Tylenol with codeine. That doesn’t work either.
Sincerely
Concerned

Dr. Rob’s Response:

Dear Concerned:

I would strongly suggest you go on Valtrex, 1 Gram either once or twice
a day, as this will alleviate the pain.  Tylenol with codeine will not stop the pain.
I would further suggest that you get tested for Herpes Type 1 and Herpes
Type 2, so you can plan your future life.
