Experience…
It took me about 6 months to a year to forgive the man who did not tell me he had HSV-2 and continued to have sex with me. I vowed never to withhold that information from any new partner. It is very difficult to do. It hurts to reveal that information. However I would rather see someone appreciate my honesty then live with lies. I am hopeful that things will work out okay for me. I am in a relationship now (3 weeks new) and my boyfriend knows about my HSV-2. We are talking about healthy ways for us to be intimate without having sex. We also talk about the risks and how they compare with our connection to each other. It helps that I believe that God has a plan for me. Just take things day by day. [47112]
