Experience…
I contracted herpes from a guy I was dating when I was 17. I was really ashamed and saddened, because I knew I had it, because it hurt to walk, it itched, there were soooo many sores and I had to tell my mother, because I had to get a prescription to get rid of it. She was a nurse too, but she never said anything, although she probably knew something was up at the time. I am 28 now, and I am getting into a
serious relationship. I am dating the guy I one day want to marry. I don`t know how he will take the news, because although we haven`t had sex yet, I very much feel he needs to know. Coming across this site has helped a ton, to let me know that I am not alone, and it has not changed me as a person, and that I am still loved and a beautiful person. I hope they find a vaccine for this soon. Although I know it`s not true, I just feel like I am "tainted" or "unclean". The trick is to love myself, my body, and know that it`s okay, that I am okay. Meditation and being kind and good to myself, my spirit, mind and body has helped a ton. Yoga, meditation, exercise, sleeping enough, diet and keeping stress to a minimum helps tons. [46584]
