caught herpes after my girlfriend returned fron england .i saw a doctor on xmas eve 1983 and could not believe it.she had been my only partner for the last6mths.she denied it.we were tested but by this time my lesions had dissapeared.i was unsure but thought i was ok.we broke up for other reasons .she returned to england.a few weeks later i had a severe outbreak and it was confirmed as g.herpes.she has always denied it.i saw her a few years ago, after 20 years apart.she still denied it.i have felt like an outcast ever since.not wanting other people to know.i did join a suppopt group but if thats all u have in common its not much of a basis for a relationship.quite a few were paranoid.i have since survived cancer so life goes on .62 now.
