Before we got married, my now husband fooled around and contracted the virus from the woman he slept with. She did not tell him she had the virus, he stupidly, did not use a condom. I married him. We have had two children, both free from any herpes symptom. My initial outbreak was extreme. And I have not had any outbreaks since. I believe it is because I smoke pot. I do not take antiviral medication. Only pot, and I do not have outbreaks. Haven`t since that initial day. I was naive. Ours has not been an easy relationship. And I am thinking of leaving. I feel like I will be on my own for the rest of my life, but if anything, this site has proven to me, that should you meet someone, be honest; we know how devasting this has been on our own lives, how could someone not be honest, and inflict that on anyone else.
