Experience…
I had been married 13 yrs when I was diagnosed with herpes type 1 on my genitals. The doctor mentioned that that was the type usually found on the mouth.(cold sores) I immediately thought that my husband had cheated and my doctor gave me no other explanation. When I confronted my husband, he had sworn that it must had been me who cheated! I origianally went to the doctor because I thought I was having an allergic reaction to sanitary napkins! Imagine my suprise. This has taken quite a toll on our marriage. He finally got tested and his doctor says he doesn`t have the antibodies in his system. I know I was faithful!!! Now he has asked for a divorce. 17 yrs of marriage down the drain. Is there a separate test for type 1 and 2? Could I have been misdiagnosed? [46715]
