I want to know if Herpes 2 virus can cause any long term problems e.g., severe pain multi-site, fibromyalgia, or any other problems, degenerative disc disease, anything that could cause severe pain. I will look for your response.

There is no good data to suggest that Herpes Type 2 has long term health effects, but it has not been well studied. Anecdotally, people who have gotten herpes have also gotten other immunologic problems such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue etc., but there is no causal relationship. Further work in this area is clearly needed.
