Sex is Painful
Dear Dr. Rob:
I am a happily married 31 year old and my husband and I were recently diagnosed with herpes. Sex for me lately is VERY painful. Is this a side effect of herpes?????

Other than during an act of outbreak, sex should not be painful as a result of herpes. This would suggest another problem, which can be correctly diagnosed by your gynecologist.
