I contacted HSV-1 from having oral sex with a man who showed no symptoms, but his wife and son had outbreaks of cold sores. He said he had never had one. I was shocked when I went to my doctor with what I thought was a yeast or other vaginal infection to hear him say it looked like herpes. Four days later the results were in.
